Councilwoman Amber Veitenthal: Front Royal Should Be Selective About Growth
Councilwoman Amber Veitenthal is seeking her second full term. She told the Royal Examiner that "you need one term to learn and one term to execute."
Veitenthal wrote the motion to pursue a ban on data centers in Front Royal, which council passed unanimously. "We're not for sale," she said. "Just because you're going to make
us a lot of money doesn't mean you're the best fit."
She also discussed the search for a secondary water source and said growth "needs to be strategic." She wants to bring in a manufacturer or a federal agency to provide good local
jobs.
